The Dodge-Mahal, our new home!

And it couldn't be more perfect.  AC, generator, slide-out, kitchenette, bathroom, queen size bed, tons of storage!  Less than two weeks until we're out of our apartment and on the road.  Although the to-do list between now and then seems endless, overcoming the 'camper obstacle' was a big one.

Looking forward to getting on the road with our new beast!  '00 Dodge Ram Diesel.  Now, the search is on for the perfect truck camper to fit on top!

The time is almost here!  Joe and I have been planning our extensive US road trip for over a year and suddenly it's right around the corner.  Our to-do list seems to be getting longer and longer but I suppose the stress of picking up and leaving everything you have is half the fun!

This trip is a bit different from those of the past.  We're packing and moving everything we have into storage.  What's left is either sold, donated, tossed, or riding shot gun in our new (yet old) '00 Dodge Ram Diesel!  A HUGE thank you goes out to great friends Rachel and Adam for taking in my 25 year old turtles (yes, I have turtles that I have had since I was five!) and to Chad and Danielle for watching after our main man, Chester.  Just so you know, I fought to include Chester on our road trip, but Joe didn't buy it.  I suppose I understand.  He'll definitely be missed!

Our departure date is set for Tuesday, May 8th.  We head straight to Spokane to catch up with Joe's parents for a few days and drop off my honda.  Although I'm not certain they know this yet?  I sure hope it's OK to store my car there for, say, six months???  I figure the accord will pair nicely next to the series of old relics they have to show.

After that, who knows!  Our direction will be south to find a little sunshine and heat.  In the meantime, I turn 30 on Thursday.  And I actually feel pretty good about it.  Until next time...
